2014 Event Recap & Response

Nearly 200 investors, intellectual property executives, and trusted advisors attended a sold-out IP Dealmakers Forum on November 6-7, 2014 in New York City. The inaugural event, a standing-room only affair, far exceeded expectations according to overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees.

The inaugural event was the first event to successfully connect investors with IP information and opportunities. The event featured keynote speaker Jay Walker, founder of Priceline and Executive Chairman of Patent Properties and TEDMED, as well as many other A-list thought leaders and executives. During the one and a half day event, attendees tackled the most pressing issues affecting IP investing and connected outside of sessions to further dealmaking.

“The IP Dealmakers Forum was one of the best run events I have attended in a long time.  I was most impressed by the quality of the audience and the speakers.  You managed to snare some extremely significant talent across the board and that made all the difference for me. The on-line system for setting up meetings worked great and certainly made it easy to meet new connections.  The format was good and the table set up was great for fostering conversations with people I had never met before.”

-Ross D. Vincenti, Managing Director, SISVEL US, Inc.

“The IP Dealmakers program was extremely impressive. This was the inaugural event for IP Dealmakers, and it was first class all the way. The speakers were A list, as were the attendees. Everything was thought out, from the programming to networking opportunities to coordinated one-on-one meetings. “

-Gene Quinn, President of IPWatchdog, Inc.

“Anyone I spoke with regarding the event, location, content, attendees, networking and overall experience agreed it was a 100% success. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next event.”

-Conor Sheehan, Vice President, TechInsights

“The IP Dealmakers team was able to attract key players in this space. It was the first gathering of its kind, considering the amount of people (200) that committed and the wide range of expertise areas that were represented in one room. The chosen format of panel discussions turned out to be very successful. The IP Dealmakers team did a great job in defining themes, forming panels and preparing content for discussion. The chosen location was top notch and the organization of the event was excellent.”

-Werner Frohn, Chief Operations Officer, Inventive Capital Partners

“The IP Dealmakers Forum was very well attended by the leaders in the investment community that focus on intellectual property opportunities. The structure of the forum provided an excellent opportunity to connect with other professionals, as the tools to set up one-on-one meetings worked very well.”
